The HEAT project carries out free energy assessments of homes, structures, or heating and cooling systems for homeowners, businesses, and public entities. The service is available to all Ferry County residents no matter how the home is heated, and to all customers of Ferry County P.U.D.. A thermal imaging camera, blower door and duct analysis equipment are used to pinpoint high priority areas in buildings for insulation, weatherization, or energy retrofitting  so owners can get the highest savings from their investment. This is followed up by a report of findings with educational resources, plus a list of available weatherization cost assistance and incentives.
