 Extension Youth Activity Camp

Talk about fun!

The Extension Youth Activity Camp (EYAC) is held in the afternoons each year the last week in July. A free lunch is provided for the campers prior to the camp. Over 45 youth from grades 2nd through 6th attended the event at Parkway Elementary in Clarkston, WA during 2010.

Temperatures hit the 100 degree mark but that didn't stop the kids from attending. The camp was started ten years ago to teach kids various life skills in a fun way. More Information

Asotin County Youth Commissioners

The Asotin County Youth Commissioners are youth 7th through 12th grades. Their objectives are:

To identify issues and concerns important to Asotin County Youth through outreach and engagement with other youth; and to make recommendations to county officials regarding these issues.

To inform the community about the concerns and needs of youth through the support of youth activities.

To improve adult/youth partnerships by creating & maintaining positive, exemplary, & honorable relations with county residents.

To provide leadership training & offer youth opportunities to develop their own personal leadership skills.

In the spring of each year the commissioners host Youth Awards Night. This special night honors youth, youth organizations and adults that have made a difference in our community.  For more information contact Mark Heitstuman at 509-243-2009 or heitstuman@wsu.edu or visit their web site at http://www-dev.co.asotin.wa.us/YouthCommission/Index.htm
