Chelan and Douglas Counties have flourished with new residents coming from all around the world, adding to our heritage and culture.

We have developed one program locally to help our professionals in education, community agencies, including police and fire, and church organizations deal with language barriers, which always exist with the early influx of new residents from other countries.  If communicating with Spanish speakers is important to you personally or professionally, you may benefit from our Full Immersion Spanish Institute, which has both an intensive summer program and a year-round monthly class to help you understand the culture and gain fluency in speaking Spanish.
