TESTING NOW AVAILABLE AT THE WSU EXTENSION OFFICE IN WATERVILLE
A food worker card must be obtained by anyone working in the food service industry who prepares or works with food.
Computerized Food Worker instruction and testing is available every business day between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The instruction and testing last approximately 1 hour and is on a "first come, first served" basis.
It is recommended that all food workers review the good worker manual, "Food Safety is Everybody's Business," prior to testing. copies of the manual are available at Chelan-Douglas Health District, WSU Extension in Waterville, and online at : http://www.cdhd.wa.gov/docs/food-worker-manual-print.pdf.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Picture identification and $10 (cash or check). For a three year card you must bring your current (unexpired) food worker card.
WHEN WILL I GET MY CARD?
A temporary certificate will be issued after passing the test; the card will be mailed in approximately two weeks.
WHEN WILL MY CARD EXPIRE?
If this is your first food worker card, your card has expired, or you did not bring your current card with you, your card will expire two years from the day of issuance. If you bring a current card when you take the test, your renewal card will expire three years from the issuance date. Contact the Health District staff for the approved "additional food safety training" requirements and five year renewal cards.
WHAT IF I LOSE MY FOOD WORKER CARD?
The cost for a replacement card is $10.
