Come with us on this grand adventure! A unique opportunity awaits you as you step back in time aboard the Cutty Sark setting sail through the San Juan Islands just like the earliest explorers did as they mapped and enjoyed the incredible sights of Washington State’s inland waterways.
Our group of adventurers will come together either Friday evening or Saturday morning at (a location to be identified) on Whidbey Island. We will spend some time getting to know one another and sharing some basic information about the Cutty Sark and our adventure ahead. While on board, you are the crew and will learn to sail this magnificent vessel, navigate using both ancient and modern technology and gain an appreciation for life on the “High Seas”.
Our adventure begins as we catch the “Slack Tide” through Deception Pass. From here we will travel North through the San Juan Islands to our destination at one of the many uninhabited islands dotting this inland passageway.
Here we will set anchor and disembark the ship to settle our sea legs back on solid ground. We will make camp for the evening, prepare our evening meal, and enjoy some personal “free” time to relax, walk on the beach and explore the island. As the sun begins to set we will stoke the campfire as we listen to our Captain share amazing stories of life and times on the high seas guaranteed to keep us all on the edge of our seats and yearning for more.
After a hearty breakfast the next morning we will break camp and return to the ship continuing on our journey for extended trips or for two-day trips, sail back to the dock at Cornet Bay returning home to family and friends with many of your own stories to share.
