Shooting Sports Jamboree ~ The Ferry County 4-H 9th Annual Shooting Sports Jamboree will be Thursday June 13th 4:00 - 8:00 pm. The evening is a round-robin event, allowing youth to try new shooting sports activities. Each 4-H youth participant will be instructed in firearm safety and have the oportunity to shoot rifle, pistol, shotgun and archery. This is a great opportunity to try something fun and new in shooting sports! Youth will receive prizes and top shooters will be recognized. Register by Friday, June 7, 2013. If you are not a 4-H member but would like to participate, contact the 4-H office for enrollment information. Teen Conference ~ Join 400 teens from across the state at the Washington State University Campus June 23-25, 2013 where teens come together to participate in hands-on educational programs while experiencing life on a college campus. The conference is open to all youth entering 8 through 12 grades. Registration is open May 6 through June 10 for teens and chaperones. Once you complete your registration, print a copy along with your health forms and bring them into the 4-H office. Scholarships are available in the amount of $82.50 by Ferry County 4-H Leaders' Council for actively or newly enrolled 4-H members. If anyone would like to help sponsor teen scholarships to this event or help cover mileage, please contact the Extension office. Also State Scholarships are available directly from the state web site. We are in need of an adult coordinator and chaperones to help transport and attend. One-way gas mileage will be available from Ferry County 4-H Leaders' Council for reimbursement for those who carpool.

Ride for the Red, White & Blue 4-H and Open Horse Show will be held at the Ferry County Fairgrounds July 6, 2013. 4-H classes $4 per class by July 2nd. Show hosted by Flying Changes 4-H Club. Registration

Our Wild, Wonderful World 4-H Day Camp will be held at the Ferry County Fairgrounds July 16-19, 2013 from 9 am - 3 pm. Camp focus will be on natural resources, science, engineering, technology, the arts, and math. This will be an excellent camp experience for kids grades 1-8 with the support and involvement of our teens as teen leaders. Registration now open!

The Fair Awards Nomination Forms are now ready. Nominate your 4-H'ers for the Andy Lawson Award for outstanding 4-H'er of the year. Or the Carson Ranch Award for good sportsmanship and helping younger 4-H members! Forms

4-H License Plate Now Available! ~
