WSU Livestock Advisor Program
Livestock Advisor volunteers are trained by Washington State University to provide small farmers and livestock owners with answers to basic questions about animal husbandry and land stewardship. Livestock Advisors receive 80 hours of specialized livestock instruction and BMPs and give back to their communities by making farm visits, hosting educational events, mentoring and other activities. Livestock Advisors reside in Skagit, Snohomish, Island, Whatcom and San Juan counties but serve the entire region.

Anytime you have a question on equine, swine, bovine, goat, sheep, chicken, fowl, alpaca, llama, rabbit care; pasture renovation & management; forages; soils; mud management; nutrient (manure) management; fencing; livestock & meats judging and more.
