Teen Leadership


4-H Teen Leadership programs give adolescents the opportunity to develop advanced leadership abilities through a variety of real-life leadership roles.  Everyone is welcome to participate.

Know Your Government
(February)
Know Your Government (KYG) is an annual 3-day teen conference in Olympia sponsored by Washington State 4-H.  4-H youth  and their friends outside 4-H in grades 9-12 are invited to participate.

WOMEN FLY! Program (March)
Women Fly! celebrates the significant contributions women have made and continue to make to the progress of flight. It gives girls who have an interest in aviation or aerospace careers the opportunity to interact with successful, professional women in those fields. Learn More...

Chimacum Choice (after January)
Chimacum Choice is an exciting school-wide enrichment program that takes place on designated Fridays beginning after January at Chimacum Elementary School. Students choose classes which are of interest to them. These classes encompass a variety of subjects, including dance, art, drama, science, business, and sports. Classes are small enough to allow for individualized learning and are taught by staff and community members. Learn More...

Teen Conference (June)
Teen Reps is a 4-H leadership program for middle school and early high school-aged youth. Skills that Teen Reps learn and practice include group ice breakers and team building exercises.

Cougar Quest
(July)
Cougar Quest provides a week-long summer college experience for middle and high school students. Workshops are taught by WSU college professors and students get to see what it is like to study hard while living in the dorms, eating in the school cafeterias, and also having fun. Learn More
