Who We Are

We are a part of a national movement...

  • KCFFI is one of nine original Food & Fitness sites for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
  • We are now one of more than fifty grantees who make up the Food & Community Initiative for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
  • We are a part of a social movement to create better food and fitness realities for people across the country.

We are people who care about food, fitness and vibrant community spaces...

  • We want to increase access to healthy food options.
  • We want to increase access to physical activity opportunities.
  • We want to achieve health equity.
  • We want to eliminate health disparities.

We are community members, leaders and stakeholders committed to building and creating models of change in Delridge and White Center...

  • Change can happen in our communities.
  • The changes we seek and make will be community-driven.
  • We are local leaders who believe things can be different.

What We Do

We bring together like-minded leaders...

  • Leaders come together to collectively form and implement a community vision.
  • Our collective leadership supports partnerships that work to serve the community needs and wants.
  • We use our collective expertise to inform and support communities.
  • We advocate for policy and systems change.

We advocate for community change by supporting community solutions...

  • Our partners conduct community assessments to validate community needs and wants.
  • Our partners mobilize community members and organizations to demand practice and policy change.
  • We believe community-driven design and implementation last longer and have greater impact.
