Food $ense
The Food $ense Program offers a series of lessons geared to limited income audiences. Each session includes easy-to-read materials, a food demonstration with taste sampling, interactive lessons and where appropriate, a game or activity. All are offered free of charge.
After completing this series, participants are better able to:
- prepare nutritious foods on a budget
- understand nutrition basics for healthful eating
- understand basic food safety practices
- plan healthy meals and snacks
