Welcome to WSU Lewis County Extension!

Building & Supporting Local Communities Through Youth, Family and Natural Resource Education

Lewis County is a land of contrasts, from the Twin cities of Centralia and Chehalis to the most eastern community of Packwood, a small town nestled in the Cascade Mountain foothills. Located in Southwest Washington and midway between Seattle and Portland via the I-5 corridor as well as midpoint between the Pacific Ocean and Mount Rainier, it is the perfect home base for our community members. Lewis County is rich with timber acres, farmlands and rivers to support livelihoods, natural wildlife and outdoor interests of our residents.

WSU Extension has a long history of providing education and volunteer opportunities in horticulture, agriculture, 4-H youth development, recycling, and other programs to Lewis County residents. We encourage you to explore this site to discover our current programs and resources.

Our goal is to establish local coalitions that work together for the cause of sustainable poultry farming. Please direct questions to Jim Adkins at jim@centerforpoultry.com or 209-890-5326 or Pam Watson at pwatson@wsu.edu or 360-740-1220.
