Gardening
Sheila Gray has been with WSU Extension since 1995. Prior to her appointment to Lewis County Director in 2003, she was the Natural Resources/Horticulture Agent for Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties. Sheila's background is in ornamental horticulture with crossover into native plants and forest seedling experience. She also holds an MA in public administration which she puts to use each day as the Lewis County Extension Director. She may be reached at 360-740-1214 or via email at sgray@wsu.edu.

GARDENING FOR EVERYONE - SPRING 2012- FEBRUARY 11, 2012
The WSU Master Gardener Volunteer
program training is held each year from January through December. Training incorporates on-line videos and presentations, reading, and hands-on and field work at monthly all-day classes.
Trainees hone their new skills by working in plant and insect clinics answering gardening questions from the public as well as maintaining three demonstration gardens located throughout the county.
Master Recycler/Composter training is offered in partnership with the Lewis County Solid Waste Department. Trained volunteers provide community education and service at various recycling and community events throughout the year. Contact us for information about future training classes.
