Mike Nystrom is a Stewardship Forester with the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in the SW Region of Washington. Through an intergovernmental agreement Mike is available to assist WSU Extension on the westside of Washington. Mike's background has been in both the private and public sectors. Backyard Forest Stewardship is a way for everyone to get involved in a way to care for your 'niche' of the woods.
Sheila Gray has been with WSU Extension since 1995. Prior to her appointment to Lewis County Director in 2003, she was the Natural Resources/Horticulture Agent for Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties. Sheila's background is in ornamental horticulture with crossover into native plants and forest seedling experience.
