Bark Beetle Information
Recent fires, storms and drought conditions have contributed to tree stress in the Columbia River Gorge. A newly documented bark beetle, the California fivespined Ips (Ips paraconfusus) has impacted ponderosa pine tree health in a few areas of the gorge.
