RETAIL FOOD SAFETY COURSE

Certified Food Protection Training for Food Workers is offered upon request.  Please contact Zena Edwards, Food Safety & Nutrition Faculty, for more information.
WSU Thurston County Extension partners with Thurston County Public Health & Human Services to provide the instruction and testing for the Washington State Food & Beverage Worker's Permit.
Please bring photo ID and $10.00 cash or check to class.
Please arrive early.  Class starts on time.
The class and testing last for about 1 hour 45 minutes.

Courthouse  Classes:

  • Every Tuesday at 3:20 pm and 5:20 pm
  • Every Thursday at 8:20 am
  • 1st Thursday of every month at 7 pm
  • 3rd Saturday of every month at 10 am
The Courthouse classes are held in building 1, room 152 of the Thurston County Courthouse, located at 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW in Olympia. 

Yelm Classes:

  • 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm*
  • Last Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm*
The Yelm classes are held at the Yelm Adult/Multi Purpose Center located at 16530-103rd Avenue SE in Yelm.
 
(*with the exception of November and December when we will only have one class, which is held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month due to the holidays)
